Established in 2017, Simple Sparrow Care Farm has served as a 501(c)(3) trauma-informed care farm, utilizing land, gardens, and animals to support educational and therapeutic outcomes. Located in eastern Williamson County, Simple Sparrow Care Farm serves as a family resource center for the surrounding communities of Georgetown, Round Rock, Hutto, Pflugerville, and Taylor, and provides wrap around care for vulnerable individuals, foster/adoptive families, as well as children and families who have experienced significant trauma.

Simple Sparrow Care Farm’s mission is to collaborate with community partners to provide trauma-informed educational and therapeutic care farm programs and services for all ages, backgrounds, and abilities to Learn + Grow + Heal.
They integrate several evidence-based approaches, including Trust-Based Relational Intervention (TBRI) and the Neurosequential Model of Therapeutics (NMT), into hands-on care farm activities to foster rich somatosensory experiences, strengthen relational connections, and support meaningful education. In 2024, Simple Sparrow reached over 7,650 individuals through outreach, small groups, and individual programs.
A key component of Simple Sparrow Care Farm’s work includes partnerships with licensed mental health professionals who are trained in our Trauma-Informed Care Farm model. These practitioners integrate the care farm into their therapeutic approach, creating a holistic, nature-centered framework of support for those we serve.
Simple Sparrow Care Farm also collaborates with the Williamson County Family Recovery Court and local judges to provide court-ordered therapeutic care for children in foster and kinship placements.
Our child-focused programs include Book & Bunny, a farmside storytime experience for preschoolers and caregivers, and Little Care Farmers, where young children learn to care for animals and people alike.
Beyond early childhood, Simple Sparrow Care Farm offers parenting support and a therapeutic volunteer program designed to cultivate connection and purpose among at-risk teens, survivors of human trafficking, veterans, and court-ordered individuals.

At Simple Sparrow Care Farm, every program and service centers around building trust, relational connection, and felt safety. When individuals learn to care for the land, gardens, and animals at Simple Sparrow Care Farm, they also learn how to care for themselves, for others, and how they themselves deserve to be cared for. Building strong, supportive families is at the heart of their mission.
