About Us

FRCTX parent education can be a valuable resource to a family.

Family Resource Centers of Texas (FRCTX) is an association of nonprofit, community-based agencies dedicated to strengthening families. FRCTX agencies work with parents, grandparents, and other relative caregivers to build and sustain their capacity to care for and support their children. Parent education classes and home visiting programs strengthen the caregiving skills of adults and promote the development of healthy relationships within the family. Counseling programs help families develop the skills to address the stressors impacting the family and successfully navigate challenging times in their life. Family Care programs provide safe housing and supportive services to empower families in becoming self-sufficient. FRCTX agencies are impacting future generations by equipping families with the skills and abilities to meet the needs of their children today.

Founded in 2021, FRCTX connects family resource centers throughout the state of Texas and provides opportunities for these centers to work together to advocate for the needs of families. FRCTX supports the development of family resource centers that operate independently from the Texas child welfare system.
